The Blank Canvas is a journey into the invisible side of our craft. You know that exact moment you hit “New File”? That’s where the magic happens. I like to imagine that, inside the software, we’re embarking on a reality where anything is possible.

I tried to turn the workspace into a living environment. The idea was to show the interface shifting from the everyday static into a world exploding with color and motion, where the tools themselves find their soul. It’s a tribute to that rush of adrenaline we get when a killer idea strikes and we start bringing it to life.

This project, developed especially for Adobe, required an intense deep dive into research and references to translate, in a playful way, what the act of creation truly symbolizes. After defining the lighting, core palette, and composition, we moved into construction: every single asset in the scene was 100% modeled in Blender, building a digital ecosystem from scratch.

To wrap it up, Photoshop and After Effects stepped in as our right-hand men and loyal squires. They are the key pieces of our studio’s pipeline, providing the photographic finish and realism needed to bring this idea to life in a harmonious and natural way.

For the composition’s color scheme, we developed a well-balanced palette, harmoniously blending warm and cool tones. Given the 100% imaginary forest setting, we used Adobe Color to create a compound palette with enough depth between the scene’s darkest and lightest values, as our goal was to clearly define the different planes within the image’s shallow physical space.
