L'Occitane Herbae Iris

About the project

You know when that late afternoon light hits just right and everything feels like a dream? That was exactly the atmosphere we brought to the Herbae Iris Pallida project.

Here at the studio, the challenge wasn’t just rendering a bottle, but capturing that “cool breeze” from the fields. We dived into the gradient of the irises and the warm glow of the sunset to create something that was, above all, light. Every detail, from the movement of the petals to the light refraction on the glass, was placed there to tell a story: that nature is our greatest source of visual poetry.

The result? A campaign that breathes freshness and invites the eye to get lost in this golden horizon.

Packaging design

From craft to digital

Developing the packaging for the Herbae Iris Pallida line was an exercise in both architecture and sensitivity. More than just a container, we aimed to create a tactile extension of the L’Occitane olfactory experience.

  • Structural Study & Blueprints: The process began at the drawing board. We dived deep into structural engineering and volume studies, analyzing how the geometric lines of the packaging could dialogue with the delicate organic shapes of the iris.
  • Surface Design: The botanical patterns are the heartbeat of this SKU. We composed the illustrations to wrap around the volume fluidly, using the contrast between deep blue petals and earthy paper tones to evoke a sense of refined freshness.
  • From Craft to Digital: Using our hybrid pipeline, we translated these physical sketches into Blender, testing light behavior across every fold and texture. This ensured the final product maintained its poetic impact from the physical shelf to the digital campaign.

The result: A piece that celebrates “savoir-faire,” where technical design meets the poetry of nature in every printed detail.

Color palette

For the composition’s color scheme, we developed a well-balanced palette, harmoniously blending warm and cool tones. Given the 100% imaginary forest setting, we used Adobe Color to create a compound palette with enough depth between the scene’s darkest and lightest values, as our goal was to clearly define the different planes within the image’s shallow physical space.
